Perez Fernandez holds a Chemical Sciences degree from the University of Santiago de Compostela and a Ph.D. in Marine Science, Technology, and Management from the University of Vigo. Additionally, I earned a bachelor’s degree in forensic and Analytical Chemistry from the University of Strathclyde. My academic profile includes a master’s in quality, Environmental, and Health and Safety Management Systems, along with an additional qualification in Project Management.
Perez Fernandez professional focus lies in marine chemical pollution, encompassing the development of sampling plans, sample preparation, and the improvement of analytical procedures. Proficient in data interpretation and report writing, I have led and participated in oceanographic campaigns on pollution. Since 2008, I've been employed at the Spanish Institute of Oceanography (IEO), contributing to marine environment monitoring programs and participating in national and international research projects on marine pollution. Additionally, I am a member of the ICES Marine Chemistry Working Group.
