Coastal Oceanography

Coastal oceanography is the study of the complex and dynamic interactions between the ocean and the land in regions where the two meet, such as coastlines, estuaries, and near shore areas.Coastal oceanography is also of great importance, about 25% of global primary productivity (photosynthesisby plant life) occurs in the ocean near the coasts. And also 80-90% of the world fish catch occurs in the coastal ocean.
