Catalysis in Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Engineering

In order to transform substantial oil into useful, distillable products, catalysts are utilized. They can be regenerated and utilized with a wide variety of feedstocks to improve refinery performance worldwide. Catalysts can be solids, gases, or liquids. The catalyst is molecularly dispelled in the same phase as the reactants in homogeneous catalysis. The branch of petrochemical engineering that focuses on the engineering analysis, computer modeling, and prediction of the future product performance of the processes that enable the development and exploitation of crude oil and natural gas fields.
