Nanocomposite

Nanocomposites are a class of nanomaterials wherein one or more phases at nano-sized dimension (zero dimension, one dimension, and two dimensions) are embedded in a ceramic, metal, or polymer material. These can be made by inorganic or organic components at the molecular level to obtain new properties.

Types of nanocomposites based on their matrix are

Ceramic matrix nanocomposite CMNC
Polymer matrix nanocomposites PMNC
Metal matrix nanocomposites MMNC
