Urinary Tract Infections are the infections in any part of the urinary system, which includes the kidneys, bladder or urethra. Urinary tract infections are most commonly observed in women rather than men. UTI's are usually seen in the bladder or urethra, but most serious infections involve the kidney. A bladder infection may cause pelvic pain, increased urge to urinate, pain with urination and blood in the urine. They are treated by the use of antibiotics.
