Adriana Ripa Lopez-Barrantes graduated in Veterinary (2009). Master´s degree in Science in Veterinary Research (2011) at the Complutense University of Madrid and Master´s degree in Teacher Training (2017) at the Internacional University of Rioja (Spain) She began her career in several Veterinary Clinics developing expertise in internal medicine and also in the Public Administration collaborating as a inspector, in areas of animal protection and preventive medicine. Her main passion has been always wildlife and conservation medicine, so she has developed several interships and courses in Africa.After several years in the clinical profession, she started her career in teaching and research focusing on the area of public health and infectious diseases. She had the opportunity to work in different university institutions. She is developing her PhD studies at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Cáceres with the team of Genetics and Animal Breeding, with Dr. Jose Luis Fernadez-García. Her special interests include wildlife conservation, epidemiology, and One Health. Since 2015 is building her teaching career at the Alfonso X el Sabio University of Madrid in the Animal Health Area in the subjects of Epidemiology, Zoonosis, Infectious Diseases and Preventive Medicine.
