Environmental Chemistry & Biodiversity

Environmental Chemistry is a branch of science that studies the chemical processes occurring in the environment, including the sources, reactions, transport, effects, and fates of chemical species in air, water, soil, and living organisms. It explores the impact of human activities on the environment, such as pollution from industrial processes, agriculture, and waste disposal, and aims to understand the chemical mechanisms behind environmental issues whereas Biodiversity refers to the variety and variability of life on Earth, encompassing the multitude of species of plants, animals, microorganisms, and ecosystems in different environments. It includes genetic diversity, species diversity, and ecosystem diversity. Efforts to preserve and protect biodiversity involve conservation measures, habitat restoration, and sustainable management of natural resources.
