A stroke, medically termed a cerebrovascular accident (CVA), is an urgent condition that arises when there is an abrupt interruption of blood flow to a section of the brain, resulting in harm or demise of brain cells. Strokes may stem from the obstruction of blood vessels (ischemic stroke) or bleeding inside the brain (hemorrhagic stroke). The symptoms and lasting effects of a stroke can vary based on the severity of the event and the particular region of the brain that is impacted.

Stroke symptoms may differ, however, they frequently involve abrupt numbness or weakness in the face, arm, or leg, particularly on one side of the body. Additional typical symptoms may comprise of confusion, difficulty speaking or comprehending speech, trouble walking, dizziness, and intense headache.
