Dr. Ivana Haluskova Balter is an accomplished physician with over 12 years of extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, specializing in Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine. She has demonstrated exceptional expertise in designing and leading international clinical studies from proof of concept through Phase IV, focusing on areas with significant unmet medical needs such as rare diseases, infectious diseases, vaccines, inflammation, and oncology. Currently, she serves as a medical and science expert, consultant, and advocate for science and health initiatives, including tuberculosis and antimicrobial resistance programs across India, Armenia, and Europe. Her prior roles include serving as a Medical Research Director at AZURRX in Nimes, France, where she led drug development in gastroenterology and infectious diseases. At Flamel Technologies, she was the Director of Preclinical and Clinical Research and Development, overseeing global programs and managing clinical trials in CNS and Pain/Inflammation areas. Her tenure at Wyeth/Pfizer as a Global Medical Lead involved managing global R&D for various therapeutic areas, particularly focusing on pediatric regulations and integrating them into drug development processes. Earlier, she held positions at Servier as Head of Clinical Studies, managing phase I-III trials, and at the Medical Center of Vaccination in Bratislava, providing consultancy services for immunization and antibiotic treatment.
