Lin Xuliang is a Professor, Ph.D. supervisor, and Young Pearl River Scholar with a research focus on the high-value utilization of biomass resources. His work primarily centers on the functional modification of industrial lignin and its diverse applications across the chemical, environmental, and energy sectors. This includes advancements in photo/electro/thermal catalysis, biomass-based supercapacitors, catalytic conversion of energy chemicals, fine chemical products, and functional hydrogels.Professor Lin has authored or co-authored over 50 papers in prestigious journals, including Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Advanced Energy Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, AIChE Journal, Chemical Engineering Science, ACS Catalysis, and Green Chemistry. With a Google Scholar h-index of 30, he is a recognized leader in his field. He has also applied for more than 50 invention patents, with over 30 already granted.His leadership extends to several significant national and regional projects, including the General and Key Projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, a Youth Fund Project, Guangzhou's Science and Technology Elite "Leading" Project, and the 2020 Youth Talent Support Project by the Guangzhou Association for Science and Technology. In recognition of his contributions, he was awarded the First Prize in the 2020 Guangdong Province Technological Invention Awards.Beyond his research, Professor Lin actively contributes to the scientific community, serving as a member of the 11th Committee of the Guangzhou Association for Science and Technology and as the supervisor of the Guangzhou Young Science and Technology Workers Association.
