This type of cancer occurs in the female reproductive organs. Gynecologic cancer starts in different places in the pelvis, the area below the stomach, and in between the hip bones. The types of gynecologic cancers are cervical cancer, uterine cancer, ovarian cancer, vaginal cancer, vulvar cancer, and fallopian tube cancer. Fallopian tube cancer is a very rare type of cancer.
