Multiple Sclerosis

MS, a chronic and potentially debilitating neurological ailment, exerts its effects on the central nervous system (CNS), comprising the brain and spinal cord. In MS, the immune system mistakenly attacks the protective covering of nerve fibers (called myelin), leading to disruptions in communication between the brain and the rest of the body.
