Monika Furko PhD, post doctor at Thin Film Physics Department, Institute for Technical Physics and Materials Science, Centre for Energy Research in Budapest, Hungary. She obtained her PhD at the University of Szeged, Hungary, in 2019. She graduated as a Chemist from Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest. Her main research topic is developing and characterizing antibacterial and biocompatible coatings on metallic implant materials. So far, she has worked and gathered much experience in electrochemistry and electrochemical characterization of metals, alloys, composites, and coatings. In addition, she participated in developing high corrosion and thermal resistant, hard Ni-based alloy coatings on stainless steel substrates by pulse current electrochemical deposition as well as in preparing and characterizing oxide dispersed steels (ODS) for high temperatures applications. She had the opportunity to participate in several national and international projects and currently intensively cooperates in project management, task organization, and report submissions. These cooperations were very useful in establishing mutual connections and advancing her scientific career.
