Biography

Professor Qianwang Chen received his Ph.D degree from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 1995. He then was appointed to the faculty of USTC and later worked in the Institute of Hydrothermal Chemistry, Kochi, Japan, as a Postdoctoral research fellow, and later as an Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellow in the Solar Energy Institute of Hannover, Germany. He was appointed as a full professor at USTC in 2000 and was awarded the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars of China in 2001, the Cheung Kong Professorship in 2002 by the Ministry of Education of China. His group is involved in the studies of several aspects of solid-state materials, including materials synthesis under magnetic fields, catalysis and energy storage of nano-scale materials. He has authored more than 370 refereed journal publications with total citation over 17880 times, and he has been listed by Scopus as the Most Cited Chinese Researchers for six years in a row since 2016 and highly Cited Researcher by Clarivates Analytics since 2019.
