Chien-Ling Huang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health Technology and Informatics at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), where she also serves as Programme Leader of the MSc in Medical Laboratory Science. She received her PhD in Biomedical Sciences from Chang Gung University and completed extensive postdoctoral training in Taiwan and at University College Cork, Ireland.
Dr. Huang’s research focuses on haematology and molecular diagnostics, with particular expertise in multi-omic biomarker development, AI-assisted genomic diagnostics, stem cell technologies, and functional genomics. She is highly accomplished in securing competitive research funding, serving as Principal Investigator or Co-PI on more than 60% of her funded projects, with cumulative awards exceeding HK$99 million.
A dedicated scientific contributor, Dr. Huang holds editorial and topic editor roles in several international journals and is an active member of leading societies including the International Society of Stem Cell Research and The RNA Society. She has published over 50 peer-reviewed papers and supervises a vibrant research team of PhD and MSc students.
Dr. Huang is also deeply committed to academic leadership and teaching innovation at PolyU, contributing to curriculum development, student exchange initiatives, and interdisciplinary research partnerships.
