Maternal Immunization

Immunization A process by which a person becomes defended against a complaint through vaccination. This term is constantly used interchangeably with vaccination or inoculation.

Definition of Terms

Immunity: Protection against that contagious illness. You could be exposed to a disease despite if you are immune to it and do not contract it.

Vaccine: A substance used to boost the vulnerable system's defences against illness. Utmost vaccines are given by needle injection, although some can also be taken by mouth or scattered into the nose.

Vaccination: The process of administering a vaccine to the body in order to generate protection against a certain disease
