High prevalence of anemia in pregnancy

 

Anemia is associated with poverty-stricken cognitive and motor growth, and work capacity. Among pregnant females, iron deficiency anemia is correspondingly associated with unfavorable reproductive outcomes such as preterm delivery, low- birth- weight infants, and decreased iron stores for the baby, which may show to impaired elaboration.
