Şebnem Erçelen Ceylan is a faculty member in the Department of Biophysics at the University of Health Sciences. She has extensive experience as a project manager and researcher in numerous national and international scientific projects, particularly in the fields of drug delivery systems and vaccine adjuvants. The development of drug carrier nanosystems, including antigen delivery, is the focus of her research. She is actively involved in the biophysical characterization of vaccine adjuvants and the physicochemical stability of antigen-adjuvant formulations, thereby contributing to the advancement of vaccine technology. Currently, she is the Principal Investigator of a project funded by the NATO Science for Peace and Security Program, which is developing hydrogel-based vaccine adjuvants. Her work continues to have a big impact in the fields of biophysics, nanomedicine, and immunology, particularly in the optimization of vaccine technologies for global health applications.
