Salwa Mohanna




Dr. Salwa Muhanna was born on March 2, 1971, in Gaza, Palestine. She is a renowned dental surgeon and public health expert who has made significant contributions to the field of oral health services.

Dr. Muhanna completed her Bachelor's degree in Dentistry from Mansoura university in Egypt. After completing her Bachelor's degree, she continued her education and obtained a Master's degree in Public Health. Her research focused on the evaluation of fissure sealant, which has since become an essential tool for preventing dental caries.

Dr. Muhanna has spent her career working in the field of oral health services. She has worked tirelessly to improve access to dental care for underprivileged populations, particularly in areas affected by conflict and displacement. Dr. Muhanna is currently serving as the Field Oral Health Services Officer at the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA).

Despite facing numerous challenges throughout her life, including living and working in conflict-affected areas, Dr. Muhanna remains committed to improving access to healthcare for all. Her dedication and hard work have made her an inspiration to many, and her contributions to the field of public health will undoubtedly continue to have a positive impact for years to come.
