Clinical Microbiology

Clinical Microbiology

Clinical microbiology is study of causes by determining and influencing the frequency and spreading of diseases, injury and other actions related to the health. Clinical microbiology is a discipline and it includes a broad series of testing methodologies. Even though significant developments in testing methodologies have been made, clinical microbiology remains severely reliant on culture-based methods and phenotypic methods for proof of identity of culture organisms.

Cancer and Microbes

Cancer and Microbes

Cancer states to any one of a large number of diseases categorised by the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells in the body. Microbes have been allied to nearly 10–20% of human cancers. Hepatitis B and C viruses (hepatic cancers), human papilloma viruses (HPV; causing anogenital cancers) and Helicobacter pylori (gastric cancers) are most known microbe-related cancer cases in humans. Since microbes and cancer cells both are rely on incoming resources for their survival and replication.

Sexually Transmitted Diseases

Sexually Transmitted Diseases

Sexually transmitted disease (STD) is a disorder that is transmitted from one person to another through sexual contact. The contact is usually oral, anal, or vaginal sex with the person who having the STD then the person can contract the disease The both sexually transmitted infection (STI) and Venereal disease (VD) are another names for an STD.

5 Major STD’s are-

• hepatitis • Trichomoniasis • Gonorrhea • Chlamydia • Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)

Immunology and Vaccination

Immunology and Vaccination

Immunology is about studying of the immune system. Immunology emphases on the human body to identify and destroy an invading pathogen. Immunization stops disease by developing the body to respond to an attack more swiftly and by evolving the immunological response to a specific pathogen. The transmission of a vaccine to aid the immune system by progressing protection against a disease is called vaccination. Vaccines contain a damaged or liver virus, deceased microbe, as well as toxins or proteins from the organism.

Rare Infectious Diseases

Rare Infectious Diseases

A disorder that has emotional impact less than 6 people per 10,000 people in the EU is measured rare. Some infectious diseases are spreadable from one person to the other. The vast majority of the people suffering from much rarer conditions affect 1 in 100,000 or more persons this may appear minor, yet it represents around 2,46,000 people. Infectious diseases are conditions that are affected by bacteria, fungus, or parasites.

Types of rare infectious diseases -

• Rare Bacterial Infections • Rare Fungal Infections • Rare zoonotic infections • Rare viral infections

Dental Infections

Dental Infections

Dental infections are originates at the tooth .most commonly dental infections are arrases when the bacteria invade the pulp and spread to surrounding tissues. Which can also cause periodontal disease when the enamel, the tooth’s hard outer coating is weekend. Infections in the mouth starts in the tooth or its supporting structures and spread to the surrounding tissues. And several patients do not have a consistent dentist. If the infection is not cured by a dentist, it can spread into and finish the local alveolar bone, resulting in a tiny periapical abscess.

The studying of viruses is known as virology. Viruses are like entities, disease-causing characteristics, covering taxonomy, genetics and cultivation. The study of viral diseases, by including their evolution, distribution, biochemistry, molecular biology, ecology, physiology and clinical aspects is denoted as virology. Virology is about to understanding the viruses from more common infections such as chicken pox to new and evolving infections like Zia and Ebola.

Antibiotics and Resistance

Antibiotics and Resistance

Antibiotic resistance arises when bacteria, fungi, and parasites change in response to the use of these medicines. Antibiotic resistance is a serious public health problem, when germs like bacteria and fungi develop the ability to defeat the drugs designed to kill them then antibiotic resistance happens. It means the germs are not destroyed and continue to growth. Antibiotic resistant bacteria can spread from one person to the another in the community or from patient to patient in hospital. To stop and control the spread of antibiotic resistance Only by using antibiotics when approved by a certified health professional. Never demand antibiotics if your health worker says you don't need them.

The study of microorganisms which have both advantageous and harmful effect on the quality.so, it is important to understand the relation among different microorganisms for making micro flora of a food. Microbes such as moulds, bacteria, are employed for the food production and food components such as production of beer, bakery, wine, and dairy products Microbiology is important for food safety, manufacture, preservation and storage.

Coronavirus COVID 19

Coronaviruses are an extensive group of viruses that infect a wide variety of animals, as well as people, and it will cause minor to severe respiratory illnesses. Severe acute resipiratoty syndrome coronavirus(sars-cov),middle east respiratory syndrome coronavirus (mers-cov) are two highly pathogenic coronaviruses with the zoonotic origin respectively, occurred in humans and caused disastrous respiratory illness in 2002 and 2012, getting emerging coronaviruses into the 21 century as a new public health concern by spreading quickly over the world.

Air Borne and Infectious Diseases

Air Borne and Infectious Diseases

Airborne Diseases can spread from one person to other, when people with certain infections like sneeze, cough .we can catch some diseases simply by breathing these are known as Airborne diseases. When you take breath airborne pathogenic organisms, they take residence into our body. We can also pick up germs when we touch a surface that will harbours them, and then touch our own nose, mouth and eyes. Because this air borne diseases travel in the air so, they are hard to control.

Examples of Airborne Diseases are -

  • Common cold
  • Influenza
  • Chicken Pocks
  • Mumps

This indicates that the microbes are not ruined and remain to multiply. Antimicrobials effort at cellular level to prevent growth of the microorganisms.

Nosocomial infections are also called as healthcare associated infections (HIA). This disease can be seen in both advanced and in weak countries throughout the globe. Nosocomial infections have been jammed in hospitals and they potentially caused by organisms they result in longer stay and economic strain. In advanced countries, nosocomial infections account for 7% of all impurities, but in poor ones, they account for 10% nosocomical pathogens are like Bacteria, viruses, and fungal parasites. And According to WHO estimates, these infections affect around 15% of all hospitalised patients.

Paediatrics is an medical specialty that deals with the medical cure of children, adolescents and infants. When we compare to the adult disorder, paediatric disorders are rare. Infectious and immunologic illnesses caused by virus, parasites and fungi are cured by infectious diseases specialists. Paediatric infectious disease specialists work with youngsters from beginning to adolescence. If anyone has a persistent disease caused by an infectious agent such as bacteria, fungus, parasite, or other rare infection. Plant Beneficial Microbes

Plant Beneficial Microbes

Most plants depend heavily on microbes for survival. The favourable microbes pledge with the plant's roots and bid nutrients, water, oxygen and enzymes to the roots of the plant to fuel its growth and advantage fertilizer. A huge number of specific genes in plants and microbes are only stimulated during these collaborations, according to research the microbes take over the soil around the plant's roots and begin to compound. Plant-microorganism interfaces are frequently found on plant surfaces for example seeds, leaf cuticles and most notably, roots. Useful microorganisms contain those that create mutual associations with plant roots (mycorrhizal fungi, rhizobia, diazotrophic bacteria, actinomycetes,) stimulate nutrient mineralization to produce plant growth hormones, and are rivals of plant pests, diseases or parasites.
