Chromatography & Mass Spectrometry

  1. Chromatography & Mass Spectrometry

Chromatography is a analytical technique used to separate mixture of chemical substances into its individual compounds.

    Types of Chromatography:

    Column chromatography
    Thin-layer chromatography (TLC)
     Paper chromatography
    Gas chromatography

Mass spectrometry (MS) is an analytical technique that segregate ionized particles such as atoms, molecules, and clusters by using differences in the ratios of their charges to their specific masses (mass/charge; m/z), and can be used to regulate the molecular weight of the particles.
