Dr. Stanisław Wacławek currently works at the Technical University of Liberec (since 2013), where he has also obtained his PhD degree (2017). During his scientific career, he worked among others in University of Guelph (Canada) and the University of Cincinnati (USA) where he conducted research on the sulfate radical based processes. He is the main coordinator of several research projects, for example in 2019 he received a prestigious GACR Junior grant where he and his research team work on the functionalization of iron nanoparticles. He has published around 100 research articles in peer-review journals. He is among 2% of the most-cited scientists in the world, according to Scopus and a Publons 2019 awardee: the top 1% of reviewers in Environment and Cross-Field. Moreover, he serves as an associate editor of several journals from Thomson Reuters. In addition, he is a co-organizer of the ECOpole international conference that was a host for 3 Nobel Prize laureates. His field of interest is nanomaterials in the environment, reactive oxygen species, remediation techniques and catalysis.
