Throughout his experience in scientific institutions in Finland, Germany, and Egypt, his work has focused on how immune cells respond to pathogens, such as influenza strains, and abnormal environmental conditions, including hyperglycemia and tumor cells. His research primarily targets diseases like diabetes, influenza infections, and cancers, with a specific emphasis on glioblastoma, a type of brain tumor. Kareem holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Biochemistry) from Cairo University and is currently a researcher at the National Research Centre of Egypt.
