Dr. Andrei Sumich is the leading researcher of the department of mineral fertilizers at the Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry and he supervises a group of researchers working in the field of development of technology of mineral fertilizers and inorganic substances (salts and fillers for technical materials). He received his Ph. D. in technology of inorganic substances in 2017 at the Belarusian State Technological University, Belarus, and graduated with an MS in 2009. He taught (2012–2019) chemical engineering and the scientific foundations of inorganic technology at the department of inorganic materials technology and general chemical technology at the Belarusian State Technological University and developed the curricula for the university. Under his supervision, apprenticeship was occurred and diploma projects were defended successfully. Basic principles of producing fillers for detergents by a dry neutralization method was developed by him and the technology of obtaining low-phosphate and phosphate-free detergents; recipes; technical specifications; industrial regulations on detergents were developed and implemented at the JSC «Borisov plastic products plant» (Belarus). Every year this plant produces about 50 tons of detergents for cleaning ceramic and faience surfaces and laundry.
He has published more than 25 papers in reputed journals and obtained 5 patents (BY) for various inventions. Dr. Andrei Sumich spoke at more than 15 scientific conferences and seminars.Dr. Andrei Sumich is the leading researcher of the department of mineral fertilizers at the Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry and he supervises a group of researchers working in the field of development of technology of mineral fertilizers and inorganic substances (salts and fillers for technical materials).
