Pradeep Padhamnath is Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Metals Engineering and Industrial Computer Science at AGH university of Science and Technology and a Marie Curie action- POLONEZ Fellow (MSCA-Polonez), 2023. His team at AGH works towards developing the processes of extracting precious and critical materials from the discarded photovoltaic panels and recycling the PV panels completely to improve the sustainability of PV technology. Before accepting the prestigious MSCA grant, he was heading the Silicon Solar Cell Group at Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS), National University of Singapore, and was also the head of silicon solar cell fabrication laboratory. While at SERIS, he was leading grants from US Department of Energy and Singapore National Research Foundation. Dr.Pradeep has spent more than a decade in in industrial and academic environments, researching and developing materials for silicon solar photovoltaic technologies and their applications. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering, a master’s degree in Materials and Metallurgy, and a master’s in Energy Systems Engineering. He has a Ph.D in Electrical and Computer Engineering, where his thesis was on Tunnelling Oxide passivated solar cells technology.
