Blerta Mehmedi is an assistant professor at the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science at the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary, University of Pristina in Kosovo. Her academic journey began at the University of Pristina, where she completed her undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary. She graduated from the University of Agriculture Tirana, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, where she earned her PhD in Veterinary Medicine with a focus on "Theoretical and practical bases of embryo transfer in cows". Dr. Mehmedi is the PPU Coordinator of the CEEPUS networks and ERASMUS + ICM. Her work primarily revolves around animal breeding, health, reproduction, and production. In addition to her academic contributions, Dr. Mehmedi is an active participant in various scientific forums and COST actions related to farm biosecurity (BETTER); European network on livestock phonemics, and medicinal plants for animal health.
