Sima Ataollahi Eshkoor is a medical doctor with a PhD in Human Genetics from Universiti Putra Malaysia, obtained in 2011, and has extensive experience in aging research. She has made significant contributions to understanding the molecular and biological changes associated with aging, as well as improving the quality of life for the elderly, especially those with dementia and cognitive challenges.
She has published several papers on dementia and the molecular mechanisms underlying age-related diseases. One of her most impactful papers, focused on Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and published in the Journal of Clinical Interventions in Aging, has been cited over 495 times. Dr. Sima is currently collaborating with Professor Dr. Nasrin Asgari's research team at the University of Southern Denmark, on projects aimed at improving health outcomes in individuals with neurological problems influenced by age.
With clinical experience in neurology and age-related diseases, Dr. Sima possesses a deep understanding of the biological and environmental factors that contribute to healthy aging and cognitive decline. Her clinical background enables her to bridge the gap between scientific discovery and practical, real-world applications.
A strong advocate for advancing aging research, Dr. Sima has collaborated with international research teams, contributed to organizing conferences, mentored early-career researchers, and participated in peer-review processes. She is excited to contribute to the Aging 2025 Symposium, where she aims to inspire innovative strategies for promoting healthy aging in a growing global population.
